Sarah Hembree married George W. Custis, not Curtis.I'm sure we are speaking of the same Sarah, becauseG.W. Custis, my greatgrandfather, had his sister-in-law, Jane Hembree, living at his home during the 1910 census, Whitt, Parker County, TX.Until reading this message, I did not know the Hembree relationship to my grandmother, Sarah Ann.I only had her first and middle name, her married name, and, from the 1910 census, that she came from South Carolina as did both her parents, whoever they were.Is there American Indian in this ancestrial line?
Sarah Ann's gravestone in Whitt Cemetary says b. 4/23/1844 d. 8/9/1929.
