The marriages are taken from Microfilm # C.065.62001 from the N. C. State
Archives, Raleigh, NC.
568. Lic: 30 Jul 1868 (correct date), Robert HELMS, son of A. & E. J.
Helms, to Nancy RILEY, daug. of Andrew & M. Riley, m. 1 May 1869 at Thomas
Williams, by R. A. Blythe, JP. (it appears that the marriage may have
taken place before the lic. was obtained and the clerk made an error in entry,
however, it also could be that there was a period of 10 months between
obtaining of lic. and marriage.)
