Michael A. Helms Obit
BRITTON — Michael A. Helms, age 46, of Britton died unexpectedly Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007, at Herrick Medical Center in Tecumseh.
He was born June 28, 1961, in Tecumseh to Dwight G. and Claire J. (Pulver) Helms. Michael was a 1979 graduate of Tecumseh High School. He married Carol Butler on June 25, 1982, in Tecumseh and she survives. Michael was employed by Infra Source Underground. He was the President of the Lenawee County Renters Association and he loved riding his motorcycle, woodworking and helping others.
In addition to his wife, Carol, he is survived by his mother, Claire of Tecumseh; two daughters, Macy Helms of Tecumseh and Allie Helms at home; a granddaughter, MaKena Harrison; two sisters, Michelle and Robert (Helms) Robison of Adrian, Monica and Scott (Helms) Wilcox of Tipton; one step-sister, Angie Wilson-Lama of Tecumseh; his in-laws, Jerry and Linda Butler of Tecumseh; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Funeral services for Michael will be held on Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, at 10 a.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 1448 Short St., Tecumseh (517) 424-1848, with Rodger Warren officiating. Cremation will follow the service and burial of cremains will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens in Tecumseh at a later date.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 1448 Short St., Tecumseh.
