Uriah Helman b: c. 1825 d: 11 JUNE 1895 aged 70 years b'd: Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg, Fulton Co., PA. He served as a private with Company K 62nd Ohio Infantry Volunteer Regiment enlisted as George Gift on 28 OCT 1864 discharged 3 JULY 1865 at Richmond, VA. Civil War Pension Certificate Number 891552 applied JULY 1890.

Found in 1850 Census Todd Twp., Fulton Co., PA and 1860 Census Ayr Twp., Fulton Co., PA then moved to Illinois; however, he returned to Fulton Co., PA about a year before his death. Uriah's parents were Jacob Helman (1818-1862) and Rachel GIFT d: c. 1850 daughter of Adam GIFT. Uriah's obit was in the Fulton Democrat 14 JUNE 1895.
