Figuring out Helfrich Research Lines
Posted by: Karen King Hiatt Date: May 06, 2000 at 06:01:50

Who's your earliest American HELFRICH immigrant? From what location did he/she emigrate? When? Settled where? Do you know what ship they traveled on?

I'd be glad to put together a list of "Primary" Immigrant Ancestors, and keep track of who all is researching that person, then post an url to this list so we can find each other. I'm betting that organizing the prime data will help us find even more information (families often traveled together, or joined up later).

Warm regards,
"Cousin" Karen

Please let me know if I can forward your name & e-mail address to Josie HELFRICH - she's trying to get all the HELFRICH researchers together at a reunion in Florida, possibly in 2001.

My HELFRICH family history:

Nicholas HELFRICH, DOB May 1821, Werberg, Bavaria; DOD 27 Feb 1906,
Allegheny County, PA. Married Magdalena NOULLET, abt. 1848. (She was
born abt. 1828, Weissenburg, Alsatia). (Nicholas may be the brother
of Henry Helfrich, DOB abt 1820, Bavaria (married Margaretha Noullet,
Magdalena's sister, abt. 1842).

(Church records show Nicholas' parents as Peter Helfrich, of Bavaria; m. Kunigunda; no other information.)

Henry Helfrich, 18 April 1841, Sharpsburg, PA. Married Maria
Catherina Mueller, 23 Jan 1877.

Cecilia Theresa Helfrich, 11 July 1891; married Valentine Aloysius
KONN (born Konopinski) 11 Jul 1912.

Dorothy Rose Konn, born 1921, Pittsburgh, PA. Married William
Warren KING 27 Mar 1943, Cleveland, OH.

Karen Marie King. Married DeLoe Robert
Hiatt, Sr. 15 Dec 1972, Rocky River, OH. (4 children, and 7
grandchildren).

(Mom had 7 siblings - there were 24 first cousins in my generation! Grandma had at least 8 siblings, and our GGgrandparents had at least 6 children; There have got to be lots of us out here!)
