Looking for ancestor information for Fabian Heitzman, Sr., born 1/20/1844-45 in Baden, Germany, and died 10/24/1892 in St. Thomas Parish, Pilot Point, Texas. He married Frances ?, born 2/5/1854 in Wisconsin and died 12/13/1932 in St. Thomas Parish, Pilot Point, Texas.
After Fabian and Frances married, they went to Kansas. An infant daughter was born and died there. They also had two sons there; Lawrence (7/18/1878 - 9/15/66) and Fabian, Jr. (9/4/1880 - 12/24/1957). Later they moved to the State of Washington. There they had another son, Frank (7/25/1891 - 3/9/1969).
The 1880 Kansas Census for Washington County lists Fabian, Frances, Thos (?) as brother, and Afre as sister-in-law.
Fabian, Sr. heard about how great the area of North Texas was, so he went there alone to find a place. He planned to send for his wife and sons but he died before they arrived. He was the first parishioner to be buried in the St. Thomas Cemetery.
