RUSHVILLE - Randall P. "Randy" Heinz, 55, of Rushville died Monday, Nov. 20, 2006, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville. He was born Jan. 12, 1951, in Peoria, the son of Gilbert and Ruth Cook Heinz. He married Karel Million in 1971. He later married Penny Kostich in 1991 in Rushville. Mr. Heinz graduated from Brimfield High School in 1969. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam War from 1970 to 1974 as a torpedo man. He was a general manager for Victor Dana Corp. in Havana and Chicago from 1974 to 1989. He began as a truck driver for DOT Foods in Mount Sterling in 2001. He was a member of Rushville Moose Lodge 506 and Alligator Club and former member of Schuyler American Legion Post 4. Survivors: wife, Penny; two sons, Zach (wife, Christina) Heinz of Aurora and Jacob Heinz (fiancee, Karen) of Montgomery; stepson, Mike Kostich of Las Vegas; stepdaughter, Jaclyn Kostich of Darien; three grandchildren; five brothers, Mike (wife, Deni) and Rolly (wife, Kate) Heinz, both of Rushville, Vince (wife, Pam) Heinz of Frederick, Rick (wife, Becky) Heinz of Las Vegas and Gilbert Heinz Jr. of Decatur; four sisters, Joyce (husband, Danny) Baggott of Peoria, Lorrie (husband, Ed) Brownfield of Manito, Cherie Heinz of Galesburg and Marnie (husband, Brian) Eskridge of Canton; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral Mass: 1 p.m. Wednesday, St. Rose Catholic Church, Rushville, the Rev. Marcel Kaberwa officiating. Interment: Rushville City Cemetery.
