Hi Laurie,

I don't think we have been in touch, but I am connected to the Heinz family via one of the twin daughters, Marie Elizabeth, of Gottfried Heinz.
She married Johann Wilhelm Huber by 1811 in Bangert (Russian=Sausmorja).
From them came two lines of Hubers that settled in Canada and the States. My grandparents, Christian Huber b 1877, and Sophia Katrina Huber b 1875, 2nd cousins, arrived in Manitoba in 1898 to settle a year later at Lydiatt MB.
Christian's mother, Marie Elizabeth Otto was a sister to Heinrich Otto who married Katherina Margaretta Heinz (of Heinrich Michael and Barbara Grasmick) in 1884 in Bangert. Heinrich's lines links to Linda Otto's (q.v.) husband.
This information was pieced together data from marlin Nelson of Phildelphia, Jake Sinner of Kansas, and Henry Otto Jr (deceased) of Gladstone MB.
all the best
Cliff
