The major names are Heinrich or Hinrich, Claus, Johann, Bartold, and Deidrich. Perhaps these are found in most early families. Less frequent are Peter, Anton, Tonnies, Harm and various combinatons of all these. My records include Hechthausen, Freiburg, Hammelworden, Oderquart and the villages these churches served. The dates are generally from mid/late 1600s to about 1850. as the Elsebe name is unusual, maybe we can find it. Sincerely, Ray
