Hi Pat -

Please tell me what part of this family you belong to.

Rudolf Henry (Heinrich) was my great grandfather who, according to family stories, returned from the war and died of TB contracted while at Andersonville Prison during the Civil War. Caroline Haas Henry was my great grandmother. She and Rudolph had two children, Elizabeth and Charles Rudolph Henry who was my maternal grandfather. After Rudolph died, Caroline married J.W. Miller and they had one more daughter, Maude.

When Rudolph went off to war in the Union Army, Caroline and her children moved to a farm northeast of Clinton, Missouri and lived with Phillip and Amanda Henry and their family. Amanda and Caroline Haas were sisters and they married Phillip and Rudolph Heinrich, who were brothers.

I've never heard Caroline Haas Henry referred to as Carrie so that was interesting to me.

Jan
