Hello Jan,

Found your entry about Phillip and Amanda while looking for information on Phillip's brother Rudolf, who married Caroline Haas of Pennsylvania. Your info supported my 'guess' that Amanda and Caroline might have been sisters. Caroline and her children were living with Phillip and Amanda in 1870 (Grand River Twp, Henry Co, MO). Thank you for mentioning the birth name of Heinrich. You message was from 2005, so I imagine you have found something about Phillip and Amanda's children by now. They are listed in 1880 Census for Bethlehem, Henry Co, MO.

Have you found anything on his brother, Rudolf? Caroline Haas, who married Rudolf was widowed sometime before abt 1868, which I think was about the time she married John William Miller, son of Michael Miller and Catherine Walter of Alsace-Illinois-Nebraska. Two of her three children were in John's household in 1880 Census, and a 1-yr-old daughter is also listed. (Presumably John and Carrie's)

Would be interested in filling in details.

Regards,
PL
