Heine Family Genealogy Forum
My great-grandfather, Carl Heine was a german missionary that went on a mission to the Marshall Islands. He decided to live there and he married a local woman and they raise their family there. I believe he left Germany to Australia then move to the Marshall Islands. While in the Marshall Islands during WWII, he was beheaded by the Japanese because he was white. He was beheaded in front of his family including one of his daughters who is my grandmother, Josephine Heine. Carl Heine is also the man who discover Amelia Earheart's letter in the Marshall Islands that proved to the world that her plane crashed in that area.
I just want to learn about my great-grandfather and hopefully meet the rest of the Heine family tha he left behind in Germany, Australia, and the Marshall Islands where I was born. Great man. I might even write a book about him someday.
