Hannah,
I posted a couple of follow-ups to a follow-up you posted on page two of this forum (you were replying to a thread called "Hein surname in Iowa." Just in case you don't get notified of those I wanted to have you read them. I think your great grandfather and my great Grandfather might have been brothers. I know that my Great Grandfather had a brother whose name was Carl Hein. My Great grandfather's name was Benhard Hein and he came from Iowa to California right around the turn of the Century. I look forward to hearing from you.
