I am interested in the Galveston connection. My ggrandmother, Minnie Humann/Huemann/Heimann, etc. was b in Texas-I think Galveston-in Oct. 1852. Both parents were born in Germany. One census says Bremen, but that may have been the point of departure. She married my ggrandfather in April, 1872 in Galveston at the Presbyterian parsonage according to his Civil War pension papers. They moved to IA, probably shortly after as his family was there. I cannot seem to find anything on Minnie-parents, siblings, etc. Cannot find them in censuses. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
