I am searching for information on the following people: Johann Simon SAUER who married Catherine HEIM on September 11, 1849. They were married at Old St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Witnesses to the marriage were Joanne Miller and Nicolas Hengel. I believe Catherine is the daughter of my 2nd great-grandfather Andreas HEIM and Appolonia HEIM nee ARNO. I have not been able to find any church or civil records that list the parents of these two people. Andreas HEIM came to settle in Greenfield, Wisconsin in 1847 with his wife and children, Helena, Leonard, Anna Maria and two females that left the home before the 1850 census. They had two daughters, Catherine and Katarina that I have not yet found any trace of, either if which could be the wife of Johann SAUER. I have a baptism record for a child in 1863, the parents are NN SAUER and NN HEIM (family name) the child is Andreas SAUER, godfather is Andreas HEIM and godmother is his daughter Helena Heim Dagelen, wife of Sebastion Dagelen. The records states the parents are a married couple living in Chicago. I wrote to the Milwaukee Archdiocese about the meaning of NN and they replied the priest probably could not remember the first names of the couple so put down his version of not known. This is my brick wall, any information you might have would be greatly appreciated. Other surnames I am researching: HEIDEN, HOFFMANN, ARNO, HARMEYER, KOLFENBACH, CURE (KURI), KROLL, WILLIAMS, LANDGRAF, LANDERGOTT, NACHTSHEIM, MAYER Thank you, Virginia Loxley, AL
