I am Thomas Michael's brother and I have a different take just to makea little stuff turn stomach's, there were Heegwae's in Scotland who turned their name when the Crown decided they be usurped to an English
name, no proof ,but we have a geneolgy that shows such a spelling in the late 1600's. Its amazing that we all have some part of the same Sirname, or first and middle, and we're all Heighway's, what happened to the Scot's,? anything you can trace over there? This spelling is tough as it may have been Heeghwee, Heewee,Heagwae, surely Gaelic. My brother and I wonder and we're solid as Heighway's, regardless of things that make us curious. Best Wishes, Rick Heighway Age 53
