Hello Everyone
I have learnt that my ancestor William LAWS was born in
Benenden Kent (ca.1800). William LAWS married Mary Ann HIGHT
in Folkestone, Kent on 20 Jan 1819.

Mary Ann HIGHT was chr in Folkestone on 26 Sep 1800 to
Jn & Sar (presumably John & Sarah?). Four other children
were also christened to Jn & Sar at Folkestone :
3 Jun 1805 Jn (listed as HEIGHT)
17 Feb 1809 Ric (listed as HEIGHT)
26 Sep 1800 Mary Ann (listed as My An HIGHT)
12 Jan 1803 Sar Minter (listed as HIGHT)
29 May 1807 Jn (listed as HIGHT). presumably eldest died

I have not abbrieviated these christian names, this is howit is listed on the IGI?

Three children were born in Northfleet from 1818+ to William
LAWS and Mary Ann HIGHT :
William, Sarah & Mary Ann (chr. 28 Dec 1826)

A William LAWS was licensee of Leather Bootle (Bottle) Inn
in Northfleet 1828-1834. It is not yet known if this is the
same William LAWS.

Mary Ann LAWS married Henry ASHDOWN in Sydney in 1856 and
her brother William LAWS also immigrated to Australia.

I would love to hear from anyone researching HEIGHT /HIGHT/HYGHT in Folkestone or any areas of Kent or with LAWS interests in NSW ca.1840+

Regards to all
