To Lawson Heggie
My husband and I were in the village of Scotlandwell on Friday 16 Feb looking for the grave of a man named George Heggie, which we found. Also on that gravestone was the death of a Robert Buchanan Heggie (died 13/04/1941) and his wife Isabelle M Heggie(died 12/03/1951?). On returning home
I checked the IGI Family Search for the children of George Heggie(d 12/03/1874 aged 42)and Ann Buchanan(d14/12/1906 aged73). It listed 7 children- the second child being
Robert Buchanan Heggie(born 15/02/1857)mentioned above, and the fifth child being George Heggie(born 03/08/1864)the father of the George Heggie we were looking for. I came across the Heggie Family Website while searching and found your message. I hope this information is of some use to you.
P.S. My husband's uncle married a Margaret Heggie.
