I have just started researching my grandfather's family history. His name was James Heggie. His mother's name was Anna Katherine Heggie (maiden name Heinecke) and she was born in Zonseback, Honover, Germany in 1883. She moved with her sister Mary at 10 years of age. She married James A. Heggie Sr (1867-1934) july 4, 1901. Both lived in the SD/ MN areas. James Sr. is buried in Bemidji cemetary. PLease let me know if you have any information on James A. Sr. Heggie.
