Hello. I recently just visited Granville Co. library last week to do research on my family also the Heggies. There is one county folder located in their family research department on Heggies. I have a copy of an estate record Guardian bond dated 9 Feb 1820 Stating that Archibald Heggie was an Orphan of James Heggie. Also included on the list are Elizabeth, John, Polley, William, Caroline, Emily, and Thomas Heggie. James heggie died in Person Co. ca in 1815. On 6th Feb 1822 Wm. Blackwell took over the Guardian bond of James Heggie which included Emily, Thomas, Elizabeth, Polly, John, and William. Caroline and Archibald had no Guardian bnd at this time.

There was an estate petition filed by Jame's widow Fanny fr the term Aug 1815 that William B., Emily P., Mary P., Eliza, Archibald, Jno., Thomas, and Frances Caroline Heggie were all deceased by 1815 and under the age of 21. Ira Lea was the appointed administrator.

There wasn't much information but let me know if I can be of any further helped to you.
