Hege Family Genealogy Forum

I am a stamp collector and own a group of letters written to Constantin A Hege (born c1843 NC), mostly by his father Solomon Hege (Also born in NC). I think that there are 26 letters all written in 1862 mostly to their confederate soldier son Constantin by Solomon. These are especially unusual because confederate soldiers hardly had any way to store their letters. I tried to interest members of their descendants in them but there were no takers. So I went to the downtown library in Winston-Salem in the 'North Carolina' Room, Xeroxed all of them and they are filed under the name "Hege" in that room. As a genealogist, I would be very interested in these letters, as a philatelist they are too valuable for family members to buy, just for a family history but they can be Xeroxed (about 45 pages) at the library for about $10. I would love to hear from anyone who gets a benefit out of this message, good luck. You can read them at no cost!
