My husband is the great grandson of Monroe Valentine Hefner and Mary M Hefner. Hs grandmother was Anna Hefner(Allison). They lived in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Mary's last name was not Tillman though, it was Koechig and she was german. You will find Monroe and Mary on the 1910 and 1920 census. You will find the Koechig(misspelled as Koethig) on the 1910 census also. Monroe's parents were named Thomas and Mary Lucretia(Tilman). E-mail me if you want. I am pretty sure this is accurate info.
