It would appear there is a strong DNA relationship between a descendant of the family of Samuel Hefner and Catherine Wetzel and the family of Anthony Hefner and Catharina Hill of Maxatawny Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. He is one of the sons of Johan Georg Haeffner, Sr. and Orstel who died 19 Jun 1775 in Rockland Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
See H-6 who is in Group I. Please note the (0) value at DYS #425. This marker would most likely appear in that position for other male descendants in Group I.

H-4 has 37 markers returned and it appears Melchoir Hefner is NOT related to those Hefner males in Group I.
A DNA sub-group is formed when two or more males have 25 or more marker matches.
We still have more results to come later. It is really starting to get intersting and should help focus research efforts at least for Group I.
