Eva Maurine Johnson was born in Jacksboro, TX, she married Robert Alexander Hefner 7-18-1906 in Jacksonboro, TX.
She met Robert Alexander Hefner when they were both attending the North Texas Baptist College at Jacksboro, TX. Miss Eva as she was called, received two degrees from Baptist. a Bachelor of Arts, and a Masters of Language. Later she earned a Bachelor of Philosophy at Baylor University June 7, 1905. After her graduation she was an instructor at both colleges.
She married Robert A. Hefner July 18, 1906 at the Baptist Church in Jacksboro, Tx. After their marriage they lived first in Ardmore, OK. They purchased their first home there in 1909, it was located at 821 B. N. W. which they purchased in 1909.
In 1917 they built a bigger home at 331 G St. S. W.
Miss Eva died 11-03-1962 in Oklahoma City, OK.
