John A. Hefner in Indiana circa 1940

I'm searching for information about my husbands' fathers' family. John A. Hefner was a first generation born in America, his parents immigrated before the Nazi invasion from Germany thru Switzerland. They arrived in Philadelphia, PA. He sold items on a push cart when they first arrived. John's fathers name was, I was told, August John Hefner. John's name was John August Hefner, he married June Maxine Hoover approx. 1940 in Indiana. John was also a graduate of Purdue University in Indiana. He married again after they divorced approx. 1951/52.

Any info would be appreciated, you can e-mail me at

Thank you,
Connie Slater Hefner
