My line begins (Documented) with the arrival in Philidelphia, Sept. 12, 1734, From Rotterdam March 1734 by way of Plymouth England. Captain: John Steadman. two hundred
sixty one persons aboard. All imigrants from Germany. Hefners aboard; Melchior (3), Hans, Anna, George (2), David,
Christopher, Johannes,and Maria (3).
Melchior later Settled in Frederick Co. Maryland (Documented by Lutheran Church Records). He married Anna Baltzel in Maryland. By 1762 they had moved their family to North Carolina (Documented By Deed).One of their sons,Jacob,
was my GGGGrandfather. His son David, David's son John, John's son Thomas David and his son Thaddus Edgar were also my grandfathers.
