More info on both James Henry Hefley and his son, Leland Clark(e) Hefley can be found at the Gibson Co., TN genwebsite. A bio of J.H. Hefley is included in "Goodspeed History of Gibson Co, TN" and info on both J.H. and Leland can be found in "With These Colors"; J.H. was a Civil War vetand Leland served ashort time stateside in WWI. There is a photo of Leland in "WTC" and J.H. appears in a group photo of CWvets via a link to Barry Crocker's CW website. J.H. and I believe Fannie are buried at Oakland Cemetery in Trenton, Gibson Co., TN. Use the "Search Site" link at the Gibson Co. Genwebsite

I've photographed Rosamon Cemetery

where William and Margaret Boyd Hefley are buried along with Willaim's mother Margaret Hamilton Hefley and many other family members.
Do you know where Leland and wife were buried? Possibly Helena, Phillips Co., AR? Thanks for info on J.O., Sr. and descendants.
Hope this info will be helpful and interesting to your son for his school project!
The short version of my Hefley connection is included in a message I posted on this forum in Feb 1999; http://genforum.genealogy.com/hefley/messages/34.htmlhttp://genforum.genealogy.com/hefley/messages/34.html
