There is a ships log for August 28, 1733 which shows:

Please note Hanns Hoffner age 22 and wife Orstel are on this ship... He signed the oathe so he was at least 21 at that time... He is listed in the documents as:

Hans Jurick Hofnar 22 List A - The Captain's list

Hanns Jerg Hoffner - List B - The signers of the Oath of Allegiance

Hanns Jerg Hoffner - List C - The signers of the Oath of Abjuration

Orstel Hoffnar 29 List A - The Captain's list under Women

This seems to indicate John George Hoffner/Haeffner was age 22 which would indicate he was born ca 1711 which is later than the 19 Oct 1698 date I am seeing.

Can anyone shed some light on this?
