Strunk Funeral Home Inc., Quakertown (Bucks Co., PA) Obituary: Edward Paul Heffner (Dec 13, 1917 - Apr 18. 1997) Edward Paul Heffner of New Britian Township, (near Chalfont, Bucks Co., PA), died Saturday, (April 18, 1997), at Doylestown Hospital. He was 79. He was the husband of Helen (Hassenger) Heffner. Mr. Heffner was retired from the Gallup & Robinson Company of Pricetown, (Middlesex Co.), NJ where he had worked for over 25 years in marketing and advertising research. Prior to that employment, he was an elementry school teacher in the Pennington, (Mercer Co.), School System. He was a graduate of the Stroudsburg State Teachers College in Stroudsburg, (Monroe Co.), PA. During World War II, Mr. Heffner served in the U. S. Navy and was ingaged in the Pacific Campaign. He was the recipient of the Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon and the Phillipine Liberation Ribbon with two Bronze Stars. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Cathy (Heffner) Bernhauser of Gouldsboro, (Wayne Co.), PA; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
