Jacob R. 'Jake' Heffner, 80, Falls Creek, died Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at the University of pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born Aug. 27, 1923, in DuBois, he was the son of the late Jacob Heffner Sr. and the late Margaret Heffner. He was married to Phyllis Herbert Heffner. She survives. He served in the US Army Infantry during World War II. He lived all his life in the area and was a graduate of DuBois High School. He was Protestant by faith. He worked as a molder for Osburn Machine. He was a member of the Brookville Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is also survived by one son, "Jay" Lester Heffner of Falls Creek; one daughter, Delores Jean Wilson of Bridgeville; two sisters, Ruth Plyler of DuBois and Alice Groves of Erie; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by four brothers; Ed, Fred, Floyd, and Tony; and four sisters, Emma Susty, Nellie Minns, Annebell Fike, and Sarah Pasirb. Not related to deceased.
