My Great-Great-Grand Father was a John Heffernan born 1819 Died in the 1880's. He immagrated from Ireland and moved to Poughkeepsie NY. He was in the city directory with a Thomas Heffernan in the 1850's. He was a gate-keeper /garder at Vasser College during the 1860's through at least his daughters Margert (1861-1879) death in 1879 at the lodge house at the college. His wife's maiden name was Johanna Henessey (1817-1899). He had one other child my Great Grand Father John Heffernan (1858-1918) he died from the influenza. This John was married to a Catherine Barkley (1870-1964). They had 10 children only two of which had any children one being my Grand-Father Edward Heffernan(1901-1949). He married Catherine Laffin (1906-1992) they had seven children one being my Father Charles Heffernan Born 1931.
Any-one with knowldge of getting records from Ireland, Tipperary area during the early 1800's would be appreciated. My Great-Great Grand mother Johanna Henessey father was a James Henessey obiviously born be fore 1800.
