Hi Jane,
Pleased to finally find another researching this Owen Heffernan, husband of Maria Noonan. He is my 3rd great grandfather. I am descended from his daughter, Ellen, who married Aaron LaPointe of Leeds County, Ontario. There were 9 Heffernan children altogether and the family has deep roots in the Charleston Lake area, near Athens. The Noonans came from Co. Limerick.
My outline of their family unit looks like this:
