Hi Bill, will get back to you, my mother is busy trancribing records for Kilkenny and Im using the informaton to help , If they have any connection to the ones on the chart.
We are also researching Heffernan and ours came from Kilkenny.
Patrick Heffernan married Catherine Smith 1855 we believe
at Kilmacow, but research by a cousin found no records at this church in Kilkenny. When they visted the priest he went through all his records.Found no trace of them
Do not give up hope, families did moved around alot.
I have seen Robert Heffernan's name, but do not know where, but also sometimes is there was a dispute in the family you would not name any of children after that person, even if he was your father. I seen many a case into my research, On the irish side it seems, a bit more unlikely as names do go down.
Im meeting up with my mum Sunday so will see if I can find
anything more.
