Hefferin (?) - Newf'nl'd early 1800s

This is really a shot in the dark--

I'm tracking my husband's family, and have run across one "Catherine Hefferin"
(spelling unreliable) who married Michael Power; they had at least one daughter,
Teresa (poss. called Bridget) who married John Tillinghast in Pawtucket RI, 1875.

How's that for vague?
If any of this rings a bell, please e-mail me.
