Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Here's what I have - Samuel Heffelfinger was the son of Philip Heffelfinger (also known as the fifer, he was in the Revolutionary War). Philip had 10 children it seems. Catherine, Elizabeth, Mary, Philip, Jacob, John, William, Thomas 1804-1878, Samuel, & David. Samuel's brother, William, had a son named Christopher (also known as Major C.B. Heffelfinger Civil War Vet). Christopher's son is the famous Yale football player Walter "Pudge" Heffelfinger. Samuel had 6 nephews by his brother Thomas (William, Thomas 1833-1896, David b8/5/1829, Alexander, Joseph, & John). Samuel also had 4 nephews by his brother David (William P. b Newberg PA 3/3/1841-d Kansas City MO 9/24/1917, Philip b PA 6/1/1838 - d Nebraska 10/7/1902 (my line), Jacob, & James). I think this line is the one you are probably looking for. If you'd like to discuss this further or share info you can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org
