My husband's greatgrandfather came to the US from Fahren, Holstein, Germany in 1876 and settled in Scott, Co. IA in Cleona Township. His name was Frederick and he was born in or around 1824. He had 4 children, Johannes, William, Augusta, August who came to the US. We don't know his parents or if he had brothers or sisters. We think he had relatives living near Davenport though. If you can help we'd love to hear from you.
