John Heenan, born in Ireland abt 1839, was married to Rosanna Murphy born abt 1843 in Missouri.
They lived in Rose Bar, Yuba County, CA. He was a miner. I have them on a census in 1860 but cannot find them in 1870.
Known children, all born in California:
Elizabeth (abt 1861)
Morris (abt 1863)
Sarah A. (1867) My GreatGrandmother
Stephen (1873)
By 1880, some of the older children are living with their maternal grandparents in Rose Bar, Stephen and Rosanna Murphy. John Heenan may have died in 1878 at age 40. But what happens to Rosanna and the younger children in 1880? It is a great mystery! Does anyone else connect to this family? I would love to hear from you.
