James Ira HEDGES was born in Logan Co. IL in 1862 and moved with his parents to Neosho Co. KS in 1866/67.
He worked the family farm in Neosho Co. with his older brother John Thomas HEDGES (my g-gfather) after their father died (1872), but John married and farmed his own land, in neighboring Crawford Co., I believe. John died in 1901 in a farming accident.
James apparently lived on until 1932, but I don't know what became of him during the 50 year period 1882-1932. Can anyone help me?
