Carolyn,

This is the about right year for William Harvey (Henry) to be a brother to my Great Grandmother, Nancy Hedden who married Jesse Crawford Allen. Your Polk County reference puts him in the right place to marry but he would have been born in Georgia, I think Rabun county.

Nancy's parents were John Hedden and Sarah Ann Brown.

In the 1860 Rabun County, GA census it shows my Great grandmother, Nancy Hedden, to be 9 years old. Her next sibling is William Henry (Harvey???) who is 8 years old followed by Mary, age 6, Garret, age 3, then Myra age 1

John, Nancy's father was 36 in this census and Sarah, her mother, was age 30.

John's parent were Garret Hedden and Unity. (In the 1860 Rabun county census the families (father and son) lived next door to each other.

God bless you and stay in touch.

Michelle Scott-Chiodo
