Danielle, William Virgil is also my wife's GGGGrandfather - his father, Elisha Hedden, III was (according to my findings) born Feb. 22, 1827 in Pickens District, SC - Died July 21, 1862. Enlisted 2/20/1862 in GA 20th Regiment SCV - Confederate Army. His wife Elizabeth Rutlege was born March 10, 1824 in Greenville District, SC - no set date of death. Of course 4 children: William Virgil, Nancy Emily, Parthene Adeline and Stanhope Walker. I have other info, forward and back if this helps and would love to share-John Dotson
