I have Carrier's in Barren, Edmonson and Grayson Counties, Kentucky in my line. I recently recieved a cry for help from a girl named Molly Carrier, looking for her roots. She sent me the following e-mail. If anyone connects to this line PLEASE contact me!! Thank you so much! Deborah Austin
Thank you for emailing me back so soon. I'm sorry I didn't mention it before but I saw some messages you posted on Genealogy.com and that's what prompted me to contact you. I found all the information that we have.
My fathers name was James Thomas Carrier. He passed away about 13 years ago. He was in the navy and fought in the Korean war. He collected SS benefits before he passed away. He died in Dayton Ohio.
Born 9/22/1933 in Taylorsville KY - Spencer County
Moms maiden name was ALVIA HEDDEN, she remarried when my dad was young and her last name became McClain (unsure of dates for this)
Fathers name was William Robert Carrier from Taylorsville KY also I believe
He has 3 siblings... Marvin Carrier who died when I was young, Evelynn Carrier (maiden), and Kathy Carrier (maiden)
Thats what I was able to find out. Thank you so much for helping me with this. If there is anything else you need or anything I can do as well please let me know. I'm very interested in finding out our heritage and to see if I have anyone still around that I don't know about. Again thank you so much!!!
