Shani Hedden:

Hello! I know my family in Scranton was in PA back to or before the Revolution. They were also from Whales/UK/Pos. IRE.--Many Heddens' were coal miners in NE PA. I have not known of groups spreading from PA to other places. Thanks for the info. I need to get in touch with the researchers in NE PA genealogical society and get a complete history of the name and its folks. For instance--Hedden Heights in PA was named after my great grandfather--but I cannot find the location of the place but old timers have heard of it--go figure? Genealogy is very hard. I hope soon there is a governmental program to help trace roots properly--I have spent money on my entire family history and have not come up with--what I think is exact information--I'm not sure I'm getting a proper family tree--if you know what I mean.

Thanks---J. Doug Anderson (Hedden)
