West Indies Hector from France, who was dutch 1665

Hi,
I am trying to find information on a Hector from Normandie, France, who is dutch. We found some west indies records that list a HECTOR, who was possibly a priest or something like that, who moved to one of the West Indies Islands and is on a list in 1665. We think our HANCOCK ancestor married a HECTOR, because our ancestor is named HECTOR HANCOCK, and we can't find anywhere where that is a common name. AND our Hancock's we think, came to America from the West INdies, JAmaica, St. Christopher's or Barbados and surrounding islands. We are just trying to find his parents. Does this ring a bell with anyone?
Thanks,
Becky
