The first Hectors of my direct line to come to the U.S. from Scotland (Aberdeen area) were James Hector and his wife Charlotte Theresa Mathieson Hector (in 1820). They settled in Tazewell County, VA, and later moved to Guadalupe and Hays Counties, TX. I have a family tree that goes back many generations in Scotland and would be happy to look and see if we have a connection. My email is Deandra@pobox.com.
