George S. Wehrly married first Mary E. [not known to me] & a son is bured in the Myers Wehrly Cemetery in Preble Co., OH, with this notation: "Preble Co., OH Cemetery Inscriptions? Vol. I, ?Myers Wehrly Cemetery? p. 50: ?Wehrly, Francis N. M. s/o George & Mary E., d. 25 Apr 1860, age 1y11m13d"
George S. Wehrly is also buried there. His ancestry can be traced in a book, ?3 Sons of Steffan Petry? [1979] p. 980: parents, Samuel Wehrly and Mary Weaver, d/o John Peter Weaver. Samuel Wehrly's parents are George Wehrly & Catherine Danner. His father was Dietrich Werlie who "arrived in Philadelphia on ?Princess Augusta? 16 Sep 1736 from Rotterdam & Cowes, age 41" (Hinke, Strassburger, 1966). Catherine Danner's parents, Michael Danner & Anna Bend, are discussed at length in ?3 Sons of Steffan Petry? [1979] and elsewhee [internet & book published sources].
