Joseph Schnapp

I was online and stumbled across a 1910 census for Buffalo Ward 14, Erie Co, New York. I was looking up my line, Frank (b. 1861) & Anna Eva, and most of their kids, Fred, William, John, Susan, Frank, Edward, & Floyd (Anna and George weren't listed). Then I saw a name I did not recognize - Joseph Schnapp, b. about 1903 in NY. The census indicates he is the son of Frank and Anna. I have never heard of him and have considered that they may really be his grandparents and that perhaps Fred, age 23 at the time, was his real father, or maybe William, age 21. But why would the last name be Schnapp? That's not even a family name. Can anyone unravel this mystery for me?
