That is certainly a good "clue" to follow up on. I also found this on USGenWeb:
HECHLER, Christian, died last Thursday in Exeter Twp., this county, aged 45y-1m-1d. He is survived by a widow and 8 small children. (1-20-1810ed.)
Don't know if this is important or not...came from Berks Co. page on USGenWeb. But it would appear that Christian was born about 1765 if this paper was indeed an 1810 edition. Perhaps he is the father of Peggy's husband...one of those 8 small children could be who I'm looking for.
