This is an indication that the story about Friedrich Hecker being a cousin of my great grand father might be wrong. However, they lived in the same area (Eichtersheim) and the storys are very detailed saying, my great-grandfather was not only a cousin but also the best man at Friedrich’s wedding.
There is still some other possibilities I would like to follow up on.
- Maybe they were not first degree cousins but second degree cousins. In that case the Name of one of Friedrich Hecker’s grandmothers should be either Krämer, Helffrich or Feuerstein or Eitel. Can you confirm this?
- Maybe there is some other connection. Do the names of Betz, Bez, Sattler, Doll, Trunk or Vogler appear among Friedrich’s ancestors?
