Christian Friederich Hecker Loffenau Germany to NY

I recently returned from Salt Lake City where I found in researching my Herb family that there was a 10 year old named Christian Friederich Hecker who came with them on the ship Connecticut to Albany, NY from Loffenau, Nuenberg, Germany in 1854. The head of this household was Jacob Friedrich Herb and he was married first to Theodore Friedrich Seeger in 1845. Her first husband was Johann Christoph Hecker and Christian Hecker was a son of Johann and Theodore. Because both of his parents died, Christian was living with his step-father and his new wife and came to America with them. I didn't know his last name was Hecker because he was listed under the Herb family on the ship's roster with no reference to another name. But German records showed him to be a Hecker and not a Herb. If anyone wants to claim Christian Friederich Hecker, born in 1844 in Loffenau, Wuttemburg, Germany, please contact me as I have information on his mother's line a couple more generations back in Germany. I don't know if he remained in NY or if he moved to Alton, Madison Co, IL with the rest of the family in 1856, but I would assume he would have since he was only 12 years old in 1856.
