I have never found a connection between my Heck family and that of "Daniel David" Heck. (You can see my entry on this forum about the name-I believe he was simply David Heck). Now that I have that out of the way, I'll try to help from memory. Arch Oliver Heck in his multiple volume work talks about visiting the cemetery where he believed "Daniel David" was buried. As I recall it was along Cedar Creek, the stream that flows under Natural Bridge, but I don't recall which way. I have worked in Botetourt and Rockbridge Counties on my wife's lines but it has been some time ago. The library at Lexington (county seat of Rockbridge)was helpful. Be sure and go see Natural Bridge, it's one of the most impressive natural features you'll ever see.
